To say that A Place to Bury Strangers are New York City's loudest band is putting it mildly. I have seen the band play live four times, and from experience I can say that their aural assault that features shoegaze, post punk, industrial, goth and noise rock, will leave you without hearing for days on end.
APTBS have just released a new video for Leaving Tomorrow which is the latest screeching single from their recent record Worship. Supposedly this video is based on mysterious author Momo Fujiwara's short story Katsu Gee (I googled this and I can't find it). Watch as front man Oliver Ackerman is pursued by an evil wizard played by the band's drummer Robi Gonzales. Ackerman is captured, tied up, has (fake low budget) acid poured on his face and attacks the Saviour of Mankind (band bassist Dion Lunadon)- all filmed in glorious iPhone 8mm.
