New Music: Beck- Blue Moon
After releasing a couple of solid singles last year, Beck has finally announced the follow up to his 2008 album Modern Guilt. The new album is titled Morning Phase and is said to be a sequel to my favourite record of his, Sea Change. The first single from the LP, “Blue Moon”, is very beautiful and does remind of Sea Change. I don’t think the new album will be as sad as Sea Change, Mr. Hansen is happily married now and not coming off a bad break up. But, Beck does sing on the new song that he is tired of being alone...maybe I am wrong and all is not good. Listen to the track below:
Morning Phase is out February 25th via Capitol.

New Music: Cults- High Road
New York alt pop band Cults take the "High Road" for their latest single off their forthcoming album new Static. We have already heard the soaring "I Can Hardly Make You Mine" and now the band have come out with "High Road", a much more laid back track but still twee enough to make young and old men alike swoon over lead singer Madeline Follin.
Cults will release their new LP Static on October 15th via Columbia.

New Music: Cults- I Can Hardly Make You Mine
Finally, after seeing Cults live several times over the last few years and growing tired of hearing the same songs, there is something to look forward to from the NewYork alt pop band. Yesterday they put out a great new single titled "I Can Hardly Make You Mine", plus there is a new album on the way in October. The band have gotten grittier with this song sounding a little bit like their relatives in Guards; however Madeline Follin's beautiful saccharine voice stills shines brightly over the grungieness. Listen below:
