New Music: Hockeysmith- Hesitate

A couple of months ago we featured the Hockeysmith song "But Blood", and we told you at the time the sister act had a new EP on the way. We now know that "But Blood" is the title track of the new EP and that it will be out at the end of May. The cute caravan couple from Cornwall have also shared a brand new track from the EP titled "Hesitate". The song starts out with a bit of an R&B swagger reminiscent of some of the music on Warpaint's last album, but as it progresses it morphs into a synth-y, reverb friendly track, complete with the backing of industrial strength guitars. But Blood is out May 26th via Double Denim.

New Music: Hockeysmith- But Blood

British sister duo Hockeysmith have made a bit of a buzz in the last couple of months-including here- by releasing a couple of really good electro songs, "Let's Bang" and "Meanwhile". At the time, much was made of the girls recording their music in a caravan park in Cornwall England (Trailer park to those of us on this side of the Atlantic). After the success of their earlier output, I highly doubt that they are still living in an RV.

Now, comes word the sisters are set to release a new EP, with the first single being "But Blood". The track is a bit heavier than the electro of their previous songs, and near the end one of the sisters-Georgie or Annie?- absolutely shreds it on guitar.  Check out the video for the song below:

New Music: Hockeysmith- Let's Bang

Hockeysmith are a couple of sisters, Georgie and Annie, who do all of their best work while residing in a caravan (trailer) park in southern England. The misleadingly titled Let's Go is a blissful piece of dream pop that features foggy electronics and distant guitars and a beat that you can very well dance to. Don't let the fade out at the 1:00 mark fool you - the song doesn't end and actually gets better from that point. Listen below
